Lhabab Duschen at SJBBS 10Nov2017Sera Jey Bangalore Buddhist Society celebrated Lhabab Duschen (Buddha's descending from Heaven Tushita) with Lama Choepa Tsog Offering (Guru Puja) on 10 November, 2017. Geshes and monks from Sera Jey performed the puja offering. Devotees, Tibetan and local Indians attended the auspicious ceremony at the society. Long Life prayer offering to His Holiness the Dalai Lama and prayers for world peace, harmony & prosperity were conducted after the Lama Choepa puja. Lunch was served to venerable monks and devotees.

Felicitation to Gelukpa Exam participantsFelicitation was made to all 2017 Geluk Exam participants monks before the assembly at the main temple during the auspicious Lhabab Duschen day on November 10, 2017. Over 250 pupil monks from Sera Jey has participated in the 2017 Geluk Examination.

annual PD 2017 Chinese Language TranslationThe annual Prize Day of monastery's Chinese Language & Translation department was held on November 9, 2017. Monastery's abbot presented the award to the merit students in the year 2016 exam; monastery's administrators were also present during the ceremony.

Student Exchange Program B Youth Hostel Nov2017Sera Jey Monastery's English Translation Department conducted its 3rd Edition of Student Exchange program with students from Tibetan Youth Hostel. It was a three day program with meditation session, talks, presentations, discussions and visits to monastic events / sites. It has been a very eventful with plenty of learning, experiencing and sharing of knowledge & views. The Youth Hostel students pursue various disciplines at different colleges in Bangalore. The participants had an audience with HE Gaden Tripa Rinpoche Geshe Lobsang Tenzin and with the Sera Jey Monastery's abbot.

Yangdrub Puja Ceremony 2017The annual Yangdrub Ceremony, an offering ritual ceremony for invoking prosperity - health, life, wealth and success, is scheduled from 2nd to 4th of November 2017. The ceremony is being presided by the monastery's abbot and attended by lamas and senior monks. It forms one of the annual ritual ceremonies and is conducted with reverence in traditional monastic practice.
