On 13th of June 2018, Sera Jey Monastery organized a special Felicitation Ceremony on Venerable Master Hai Tao's 60th Birthday. The ceremony was presided by the Abbot and attended by all the department heads of Sera Jey. The Abbot, followed by the Chief Disciplinarian and Chant Master, lit Butter Lamps, to invoke and manifest good, healthy long life. Dedications were made by the sangha assembly for Venerable Master Hai Tao's good health, long life and success in his spiritual missions.

The Summer Program 2018 for lay school childrens closing ceremony was held on 11 June 2018 at Sera Jey Tashi Choeling Centre's Auditorium. Parents were also invited to join the closing ceremony. The studentw were awarded 'Certificate of Participantion' by the organizer - Sera Jey Modern Education Department. The Chief Guest of the ceremony - Sera Jey Monastery's administrator presened the awards.  The Chief Guest addressed the gathering, and Director of Sera Jey Mondern Education Dept. explained on the program's objective and scope.

Sera Jey Bangalore Buddhist Society organized a special Prayer Ceremony on the 15th Day of Saka Dawa (Vesak) month. The event was attended in good numbers by local Indian and Tibetan devotees residents of Bangaore. Member monks from Sera Jey Monastery presided the Prayer Ceremony. Prayers were dedicated to The Long Life of His Holiness The 14th Dalai Lama, other Living Buddhas and for peace, harmony & prosperity in the world.

The summer coaching class 2018 for Tibetan school students from the two Bylakuppe settlements have commenced today - 9 May 2018. This summer coaching class will take up Tibetan language (grammar), English language (speaking & writing) and Introduction to Buddhist Philosophy.

The summer and winter coaching class are organized by Sera Jey Monastery as part of its social and education service program. Sera Jey Modern Education Department has been entrusted with the organization responsibility of the coaching classes and other extra curricula programs at the monastery.

The annual exam 2017 award ceremony was held on 5th & 6th of May 2018. Awards were given on variuos categories based on examination, courses and attendance. The prominent and the sought after "The Award of Excellence" constituted as part of our Gratitude to His Holiness the XIVth Dalai Lama program’ was bagged by Ven. Lobsang Tenpa, for securing first position consequently in the four-year Madhyamika (Middle Path) course.

The awards were presented by HE Gaden Tri Rinpoche and monastery's Khen Rinpoche before the gathering of the monastery'd dean (disciplinarian), board of exam, administration committee, council members, respective khangtsen supervisors, department heads and student monks.
