Lharam Geshe Graduation Ceremony at Sera Jey for the year 2018 has commenced from 14 Nov. 2018. A total of 28 candidates will be graduating Lharam Geshe during this six day ceremony.
It is the highest scholastic title (equivalent to Ph.D) awarded to a scholar on successful completion of the entire monastic study curriculum and the six annual Gelug University examinations, which spans over 24 years study and practice in the monastery.

A two-day "Student Exchange Program - 2018" between 'Sera Jey English Language & Translation Centre' and 'Tibetan Youth Hostel - Bangalore', on 3rd & 4th November 2018 is currently taking place at Sera Jey Yiga Choeling Centre, Sera Jey Monastic University.
It was jointly organized by the two partaking institutes.

A "Dialogue on Ancient Indian & Modern Science 1: Contemporary studies on Meditation" was held at Sera Jey Tashi Choleing Centre Auditorium, Sera Jey Monastic University, on 2nd & 3rd November 2018. 

Eminent speakers from different backgrounds, were part of the main speakers at this dialgoue.

The event is organized by 'Sera Jey Modern Education Department' as part of the monastery's ongoing exchange program, which is driven on the noble vision of His Holiness The 14th Dalai Lama call on Tibetan monastic institutes to interact with acacdemic universities.

A day after the Educational Exchange Conference on 27th October 2018, Sera Jey IGNOU Special Study Centre - 13156D, organized a Conference on How Modern and Traditional Education can co-exist. College and university students from Mysore, Mangalore, Dalai Lama Institute and Sera Jey Monastery participated in the event.

An Educational Exchange Conference program was jointly organized by Sera Jey IGNOU Special Study Centre (13156D) and FISA - M (Foreign International Student Association of Mysore) at Sera Jey Tashi Choeling Centre Auditorium on 27 October 2018.
