SJM Relief Aid to Kodau Floods Aug2018Sera Jey Monastery organized two extensive Relief Aid programs for flood victims of Kodagu District.
On 17th August 2018, Sera Jey Monastery distributed 300 Blankets at a flood relief camp in Suntikopa.

special Memorization Test 2018The annual Special Memorization Test was conducted on 14 August 2018. Participants will perform an oral recitation to their maximum extent on Buddhist Texts of their own choice before an selected panel of evaluators. This year, the special Memorization has been made compulsory for every pupil monks of respective classes. The best reciter will be given an award by the monastery during the annual Sanchoe Monlam Prayer Assembly.

Richeng 2018The annual Rigchung Ceremony for the year 2018 (Minor Debate) of the 16 selected pupils from Pharchin (Paramita) stage on completing their two year shung (base) class of the stage, was held from 6 - 9 August 2018. Four pupils presented their debate in each day of the foud day long program.

Drukpa Tseshe at SJBBS 16July2018Sera Jey Bangalore Buddhist Society organized Dharma Ceremony on Drukpa Tseshi (Buddha's First Turning of the Dharma Wheel). Monks from Sera Jey Monastery presided and performed prayer and puja ceremonies. Devotees from different parts of Bangalore attended the dharma ceremony. Lunch was served to all devotees and attendees at the auspicious ceremony.

National Buddhist ConferenceSera Jey Monastery's Abbot with 20 monks attended the National Buddhist Conference at Bangalore on 14th July 2018. The two day conference was organized by Karnataka Bouddha Samaja. Buddhist masters and monks from different places in India have participated in the conference. Khen Rinpoche, monastery's abbot and other Buddhist masters inaugurated the conference and presented a short speech.
