Members of the Hayagriva Ritual Shrine dedicating three days of prayers for the Annual Gu-thor Ceremony held on the 29th day of the last Tibetan Lunar calendar month, 16th February 2026. On the final third day, the Guthor Torkya is performed, whether the Torkya is set on fire after undergoing elaborate rituals. The Guthor ceremony is a traditional Tibetan Buddhist ceremony held every second last day of the Tibetan Lunar calendar month, to eliminate all negativities and ills before the start of the new year.

The annual Phurjel (Hayagriva Ritual Dagger) Blessing Ceremony scheduled on the customary 27th day of the last Tibetan calendar month, was held on 14th February 2026. The Tadin (Hayagriva Ritual Dagger), one of the sacred relic of Sera Jey, is annually taken out once for blessing devotees. The monastery’s abbot undertakes a series of meditation for several days as part of the preliminary ritual before the blessing day.
