In the early morning of 18 February 2026, Sera Jey Monastery's Abbot, Chief Disciplinarian, Chant Master, Tulkus, Geshes and member monks assembled to celebrate the traditional monastic Tibetan New Year Ceremony, 2153 the year of Fire - Horse. Sweet Rice and Tea were served to the assembly, and Tibetan cookies were offered.
