Sera Jey Monastery accorded a grand warm welcome ceremony to H.E. The 41st Sakya Trichen Rinpoche during His courtesy visit on 16th November 2025. Sera Jey Monastery’s Abbot made Mandala Offerings to His Excellency, followed by Scarf Offering by the Chief Disciplinarian, Chant Master, Administrator, Council Representative, Khangtsen Heads and Department Heads. Tea & Sweet Rice was offered to His Excellency and to all the attendees as part of the traditional welcome ceremony.

The Third Dhamcha Offering Ceremony as part of the Ghoton Ceremony, 90th Birth Anniversary of His Holiness The 14th Dalai Lama, jointly by Sera Thekchenling Lachi, Sera Jey and Sera Mey Monastery, was held at Sera Jey Monastery on the evening of 24 October 2025. The ceremony was commenced with the portrait procession of His Holiness, led by H.E. Sharpa Choeje - Jetsun Ngawang Jorden, Sera Jey Monastery’s Abbot & former Abbot, Representative of Sera Mey Monastery’s Abbot, Disciplinarian & Chant Master of Sera Lachi, Sera Jey & Sera Mey, in the presence of Tulkus & senior Geshes, including Philosophical text teachers, Geshes and pupil monks of Sera Jey & Sera Mey Monastery.

On October 18, 2025, during the Sera Jey Monastic Institute’s grand celebration of the Ghoton. The Tibetan Parliament, Speaker Khenpo Sonam Tenphel, visited the Sera Jey Monastery and inspect the Monk Philosophy debate at courtyard.
