The Administration of Sera Jey Monastic Institute organized His Holiness The 14th Dalai Lama’s 91st Birthday celebration ceremony at Sera Jey Gatseling, today on 6th July 2026. Venerable Khensur Tenzin Jampa Choesang Rinpoche, was the chief guest, and other guests include Sera Jey Monastery’s Council Committee, Representative of Sera Thekchenling Lachi, Heads of Departments, Khangtsens and council members.

The ceremony commenced in the morning with Khensur Rinpoche and guests offering scarves to the Portrait of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.
Tea and Sweet Rice was served to the chief guest & guests. The Birthday Cake Cutting Ceremony was presided by Khensur Rinpoche. The chief guest & guests planted 1113 different trees at Sera Jey Gatseling.
