Sera Jey IGNOU Special Study Centre – 13156D
The monastery has a sizable no of pupils undertaking modern academic courses under IGNOU (Indra Gandhi National Open University), one of the largest open universities in India, as private study to pursue their interest of learning other disciplines and supplement their knowledge resource.
To support this growing interest of our monk students amid the changing global scenario brought by the technological revolution, and above all in line with His Holiness The Dalai Lama’s advocation on opening up or in other terms promote interaction of Tibetan monastic institutes with academic universities.
