A two day workshop on "Bridging Ancient and Modern Psychology" with Tumkur University at Sera Jey Yiga Choeling Centre on 25 & 26 April 2019. Faculties & students from Tumkur University's Department of PG Studies and Research in Psychology exchanged presentations and views with student monks of Sera Jey Monastic University, some of the topics touched are -

IGNOU Special Study Centre I3156D based at Sera Jey Monastic University conducted an exchange program with Bangalore Regional Tibetan Legal Association and IGNOU SSC 13156D on 18 April 2019 at Yiga Choeling Centre. Chief speakers Tulku Tenzin Gyurmey and Ven. Sonam Wangden addressed the gathering on Buddhist Vinaya concepts, speakers & participants from BRTLA addressed on Legal Law. This was first of a kind exchange program on Law & Vinaya organized and held at Sera Jey Monastic University.

IGNOU Special Study Centre 13156D at Sera Jey Monastic University conducted an Induction Program for BA for the academic year 2019-20. Coordinator and staffs presided the program to freshers for the acadamic year 2019-20.

At the invitation of Sera Jey Drophenling Gompa (monastery) at Gangtok on behalf of Buddhist devotees and communities, Sera Jey Monastery's abbot - Khen Rinpoche Logoan Tulku granted Hayagriva Tor-wang (ritual cake initiation) on 13th April and Tamdin Phurjel (Hayagriva Ritual Dagger blessing ceremony) on 14th April 2019 at the main temple of Sera Jey Drophenling Gompa. Several hundred of devotees attended the two day ceremony.

Sera Jey Monastery organized a special Monlam Prayer Ceremony on 10th April 2019 evening in dedication for the good recovery and long life of His Holiness The 14th Dalai Lama. The monlam prayer ceremony was attended by the entire monk community of Sera Jey Monastery. On 15th April, Yamantaka Self Empowerment ceremony was performed by senior monks of Sera Jey, for His Holiness welbeing and long life.
