Sera Jey Monastery IGNOU Study Unit's annual workshop for the year was held on 3rd May 2017 at SJ Lhundup Khangsar Hall.

Religions, the Chief Speaker for the workshop, gave talk on Christian Perspective: "How important is is for monks to be well versed in traditional and modern education to serve the society more effectively". HE Khangsar Rinpoche the other speaker gave talk on Buddhist Perspective: "How important is is for monks to be well versed in traditional and modern education to serve the society more effectively".

Geshe Sonam Dorjee - Dean and Chief Disciplinarian of Sera Jey, gave talk on "Importance of studying Buddhist Philosophy". Ven. Tashi Lobsang presented the Valedictory Speech, Ven. Jampa Tsering presented "Introduction to Study Materials of IGNOU" and Ven. Sonam Phuntsok presented "Guide to IGNOU related websites".
